Garden tour season is in full bloom. Seven gardens will be on display during the 2009 Medina County Garden Tour, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

July 26. The self-guided tour is sponsored by the Medina YWCA and Boyert's Greenhouse and will benefit YWCA programs.

A year ago last summer, my red maple looked as if the leaves had been burned. It then lost all its leaves long before my other two maples.

I feared that I had lost this magnificent tree, but it came back in full bloom this year. What could have caused this?
