Q.: Can an egg be hard-cooked in a microwave oven? — Robert M. Kraus, Akron
A.: Unfortunately, not without the risk of explosion.

According to the American Egg Board, is it best to never microwave eggs in their shells as the steam builds up too quickly inside them and they are likely to explode.
